IT Officer
Central London, full time, starting salary of £18,000 to £20,000 depending on experience and qualifications. WC1E 6AA
An exciting and engaging position has become available for the position of IT Officer within Central College London. This is a demanding role that would be ideal for an individual that is customer service focused, friendly and looking to develop their experience in a formal office setting. This position works within a small and highly supportive reception team of a private college located in central London, WC1E.
Applicants for this role must have experience with developing Moodle as an open source VLE project (Virtual Learning Environment). Along with this applicants must have experience and ability in:
• PHP Development
• MySQL / SQL Server
• HTML / CSS / JavaScript
The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:
• Managing staff IT accounts
• Managing student IT accounts
• Development and management of college VLE system
• Management of IT hardware and software systems
• Liaison with external IT specialists as required
• Working on project teams as required and contributing to the overall development of the institution.
• Website and content management
• General office duties
This position is based in Central London, W1C, Monday to Friday from 9:30am to 6:00pm.
The ideal candidate for this role will hold an undergraduate degree and have excellent English written and verbal communication skills. All applicants must have the right to work full time in the United Kingdom.
